ACTA JURATA

Acta Jurata reports what companies had to tell the SEC. These are the rules every video, page and email follows. Where a rule and a filing disagree, the filing wins.

Sources and math

  • Every figure is sourced to an official filing: the form, the period, and the line, section or XBRL tag it comes from.
  • Figures we calculate, such as a growth rate, a margin or a difference, are shown with their formula, and both periods are named.
  • We compare like with like: a quarter with the same quarter a year earlier, a fiscal year with the prior fiscal year. Year-to-date figures are labelled year-to-date.
  • Every video page and email links to the sec.gov documents it relies on.

Insider trades and fund holdings

  • When we report a Form 4, we state the transaction code and whether the filing marks the trade as made under a pre-arranged Rule 10b5-1 plan.
  • Shares withheld to pay tax (code F) are not described as sales. Option exercises are described as exercises.
  • A 13F shows what a fund held at the end of a quarter. We report it as held on that date, never as what a fund is buying now.

Language

  • We use the filing’s own verbs: reports, discloses, states, restates.
  • We do not say a company or a person did something wrong unless an official document says so, and then we quote it and name it.
  • Titles only ask questions the filing answers.
  • No predictions, no price targets, and no recommendations to buy, sell or hold anything. For education only.

Trading

The people who run Acta Jurata do not buy or sell shares, options or other securities of any company we cover. Broad index funds are outside this rule.

Money

  • We do not accept payment, gifts or paid placement from any company we cover, or from anyone acting for one, such as an investor-relations firm.
  • Sponsors get a labelled module. They never choose a company, a filing or a word. Rules are on the Sponsors page.
  • Affiliate links carry this disclosure next to the link: Affiliate link. We may earn a commission at no cost to you. Affiliates never influence coverage.

AI

AI-assisted content. Scripts are drafted with software from SEC filings, and a person checks each one against its sources before publication. Narration uses an AI-generated voice.

On YouTube, videos with AI-generated narration carry the platform’s altered or synthetic content label.

Corrections

We fix errors in place, note the fix on the page, and log it on the Corrections page. We never delete a video to hide an error. Report one to hello@actajurata.com.
